Online Cooking Class – Chinese Food

We continue with our international online cooking classes in November!
Have you ever tried to cook Chinese food at home? How did it go? Is it too difficult? The answers to these questions should be NO! Now there is an opportunity for you to learn two delicious, simple and traditional Chinese dishes in a one-hour session. Our Chinese home maker Jiewen will share her personal recipes with you, guide you step by step and make you believe that Chinese cuisine can be easy, fun and cheerful to make in your daily life. Please find the two recipes below for your reference.
Cold Chicken Dish
Ingredients: (For 2-3 persons)
- 6 chicken drumsticks
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 2 small spicy chilies (Swedish: Piri-Piri)
- 1 fresh coriander
- 2 tsp Sesame oil
- 3 tsp Soy sauce
- ½ tsp Salt
Cooking steps:
- Boil chicken drumsticks with hot water until they’re fully cooked (about 10 minutes). Then put the chicken in an empty bowl, cool them down and tear them into small pieces. *Tips: In order to cool the chicken down quickly, you can have some ice in the bowl.
- Add salt, soy sauce and sesame oil to the bowl with chicken, then mix them well.
- Chop the garlics, corianders and chilies to very small pieces, then put them on the top of the chicken.
- Fry some oil in a pan until it is very hot, then pour it on the top of garlic, corianders, chilies in the bowl. (This step is to make the garlic, corianders and chilies to taste more)
- You just need to mix everything, and now you get a delicious Chinese traditional cold dish!
*Suggest serving with rice.
Stir fired tomato and egg
Ingredients: (for 2 persons)
- 3 eggs
- 2 tomatoes
- 3 tsp ketchup
- ½ tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Sesame oil
Cooking steps:
- Crack eggs in a bowl, add some salt, then use forks or chopsticks to stir and beat eggs.
- Cut the tomatoes into pieces.
- Add some oil in a pan, add the eggs to the pan, wait for eggs to form lumps, then break them into small pieces.
- Add tomato pieces into the same pan and stir fry until they become soft and juicy. (If there’s no juice in the pan, add 1 tsp water). Then add the ketchup, sesame oil and some salt, and mix them. Now your dish is ready!
*Suggest serving with rice or rice noodles.
