Join us for a traditional Swedish fika on Gustav Adolfsdagen at the traditional cafe Ahströms Konditori in Gothenburg.

Gutstav Adolf is Gustav Adolfsdagen (Gustavus Adolphus Day) is celebrated every year on November 6 with eating the pastry Gustaf Adolfsbakelse (Gustavus Adolphus pastry)  on  the death day of King Gustavus Adolphus the Great. The pastry was invented already 1900 and thus has a long history and tradition in Sweden. Recipes for the pastry vary locally but most versions have a portrait of the king on the top, usually made of chocolate or marzipan.

We meet outside the cafe at 14.00 on November 6. Open for everyone but drinks and pastries at your own expense.
